  16. Zterm works great with an HST. Here's how:
  17.   
  18. The following is for a plain old 300 bps backchannel HST. It will
  19. work with slight mods for a 14,400 HST, and give correspondingly higher
  20. speeds.
  21.   
  22. Zterm should be set to 19,200 bps, 8N1.
  23.   
  24. First, you should have the following DIP switch settings:

  29. and the quad should be UP.

  31. Your cable should be as follows:

  33. Mac pin 1 (HSKout) -> pin 4 (RTS)

  35.     pin 3 (TxD-)   -> pin 2 (TxD)
  36.     pin 4 (GND)   <-> pin 7 (Signal Gnd)

  86. Note that the report of 1326 is due to the fact that the file being
  87. transferred was not compressed with Stuffit. It is, still a
  88. demonstration that a standard Mac serial port can easily go
  89. faster than 9600 bps.

  91. The above setup also works with GEnie, however you have to be careful to slowly
  92. type in hhh as soon as you make the initial connect...
